Trading of Great Eastern shares to be suspended after OCBC closes takeover offer

As of Jul 12, OCBC owns over 90 per cent of Great Eastern. Under SGX rules, listed companies must maintain a free float – shares held by the public – of at least 10 per cent. If this threshold is not met, SGX may suspend trading of the company's shares.
