Reginald Thomas Simpson, also known as Reg Simpson, was a cricketer who played for Nottinghamshire in the 1950s and 1960s. He was a right-handed opening batsman, known for his steady and consistent play. Simpson made his debut for Nottinghamshire in 1948 and played for the team until his retirement in 1966. He was also a member of the England cricket team and represented the country in 36 Test matches between 1950 and 1955. In his career, Simpson scored over 20,000 runs in first-class cricket and was widely regarded as one of the best batsmen of his time.
